AMC Eagle Eagle Sedan

Eagle Sedan

The four-door Eagle. Built from the first year to the second-to-last, and outlived by only the wagon.

The quiet one

The four-door sedan was one of the three original 1980 Eagles, built on the AMC Concord and raised three inches over permanent four-wheel drive. As with the two-door, the 1980 sedan carried the Concord DL's standard equipment, including its vinyl roof covering and opera windows.

It never sold like the wagon, but it stayed in the line for eight model years. AMC trimmed it back over time: from 1982 it could no longer be ordered with the Sport package, and from 1983 the Limited trim was dropped, leaving only the base sedan. The last year was 1987, when just 454 were built. For 1988 the Eagle was sold only as a wagon.
